The U8-U10 Competitive Academy Program is a 8-month (Aug. – Nov & Feb.- May) competitive program for boys and girls players in the youngest age group of the FC Arkansas Player Development Pathway. The focus of the the U8-U10 Program will be player development in a fun and rewarding environment, within a competitive arena, while emphasizing proper skill acquisition and training techniques.
Team training occurs twice weekly with games on weekends. Additional training opportunities along supplemental programs within FC Arkansas and with our partners at OliverSoccer will be available and encouraged. U8-U10 Academy teams will participate in a competitive league as well as one to two tournaments per 4 month season. All teams are trained by appropriately licensed, professional club coaches to provide the players with the best possible foundation of skills and knowledge of the game.
Academy Program teams are formed after players participate in training sessions led by FCA Directors and Coaches. All players interested in playing in the FC Arkansas program must attend these training sessions each year.
FCA Academy players train throughout the year in a flexible tiered system within their respective age group. This flexible tiered system allows for an optimal practice environment and better learning opportunities. Coaches within each age group collaborate in order to ensure that the appropriate level of competition is being achieved.
Player attendance at all training sessions and games is expected in all FC Arkansas Competitive Programs.
